Outraged and determined to keep a tight grip on her body autonomy, Lizbeth grips a paintbrush like it's a weapon and stands strong and defiant against the countless, large, anonymous hands attempting to grasp, pull, control, and restrain her. With body autonomy rights at risk everywhere in the U.S. and, in many places, already lost, I couldn't think of a better way to express my feminist frustration, outrage, and anguish than by depicting the intelligent, powerful heroine whose story of struggle, fierce will, and eventual success is simply empowering to read and remember, and uplifts us all by serving as an example of how we can all fight the system of oppression and triumph if we simply work hard and don't give up.
