Stealth

While it is more common for trans men to be capable of living "stealth" (not disclosing that one is transgender), it is something some trans women are capable of, too. The ability to be assumed as cisgender is a privilege, and living stealth means living a safer and more comfortable life, regaining some of the cisgender privileges lost when coming out as trans and/or undergoing the beginning stages of social and medical transition. There is an entire spectrum to being stealth, and the same can be said for the reasons we may or may not indulge in it.
